Liverpool, England – Manchester City snatched a thrilling 3-3 draw against their hosts Everton in the match that brought them together on Monday evening, as part of the English Premier League competitions, at the “Hill Dickinson” stadium.

Manchester City managed to finish the first half with a one-goal lead, after Jeremy Doku opened the scoring in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Everton turned the tables on the defending champions, scoring three consecutive goals through Thierno Barry in the 68th and 81st minutes, with a goal in between by Jack O’Brien in the 73rd minute, putting the home side ahead with a score of 3-1.

City refused to give up in the final minutes, with Erling Haaland narrowing the gap by scoring the second goal in the 83rd minute. Before Doku returned and snatched the killer equalizer in the 90+7th minute, giving his team a valuable point.

With this draw, Everton did Arsenal a great service in the race for the English Premier League title, as the Gunners maintained their lead in the standings with 76 points, five points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

Everton also increased their points tally to 48, placing them tenth in the English Premier League standings.
