Madrid, Spain – Spanish media reports indicate that Walid Regragui, the former coach of the Moroccan national team, is among the candidates to take over as manager of Real Madrid starting next season.
According to journalist Joaquin Maroto in a YouTube video, Real Madrid’s management is very impressed with the Moroccan coach. This is especially due to his ability to build a well-organized and strong team, in addition to his impressive performances with the Atlas Lions.
He indicated that Regragui’s name is already being discussed within the club, but he is not yet the first choice, despite clear appreciation for his personality and coaching style. He noted that some even consider him a higher choice than the Portuguese coach, José Mourinho.
Meanwhile, German Jürgen Klopp remains the leading candidate for the job. This stems from a belief within the club’s management that he can get the team back on track. Mourinho, on the other hand, is not currently among the top choices.
Real Madrid’s management has not yet made a final decision regarding the new manager who will succeed Álvaro Arbeloa. This comes amidst the team’s declining results and its failure to regain its balance recently.
