Pretoria, South Africa – Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa qualified for the CAF Champions League final after repeating their 1-0 victory over Tunisian side Espérance Sportive de Tunis in the second leg of their semi-final tie on Saturday evening.
The two teams met at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, where Sundowns once again asserted their superiority to confirm their right to advance to the final.
The first leg, which was held in Tunisia, ended with the South African team winning by the same score, thus securing qualification with an aggregate score of (2-0).
The goal of the match was scored by Brian Leon Muniz in the 35th minute. This happened after he followed up on a penalty kick that was saved by the goalkeeper, before putting it into the net on the second attempt.
