Abu Dhabi, UAE – Al Ain FC announced on Wednesday the renewal of Serbian coach Vladimir Ivic’s contract for two additional seasons, extending his tenure until the end of the 2027-2028 season.

In an official statement, the club explained that the renewal decision is part of a strategy aimed at enhancing technical stability. It further clarified that the decision aligns with a clear vision to boost the team’s competitiveness and achieve its ambitions across various competitions.

For his part, Ivic expressed his happiness at continuing, saying: “Renewing the contract for two years means a lot to me, and reflects the management’s confidence in my work, and their desire to continue the project that we started together”.

He added: “Al Ain Club has a distinguished academy that includes many talents. We are well aware of the aspirations of the management, which always seeks to compete for all titles”.

Regarding the league race, the Serbian coach emphasized that the competition is still wide open. He also referred to the upcoming match against Shabab Al Ahli, saying: “The title race is currently between Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli. The next match will not be easy for either team, but our goal is to win”.

He continued: “Facing Shabab Al Ahli is important in the title race, but we still have four matches ahead of us, and we aim to win them all”.

Al Ain tops the UAE league standings with 53 points, one point ahead of Shabab Al Ahli.
