Dubai, UAE – The State of Qatar strongly condemned the targeting of two Emirati oil tankers as they crossed the Strait of Hormuz. It considered it a serious violation of the safety of international navigation and a direct threat to the security of global energy supplies. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the continuation of these unacceptable attacks represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region. It undermines efforts to consolidate regional security and stability.

The State of Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the aggressive Iranian attack that targeted two Emirati oil tankers while they were crossing the Strait of Hormuz. This resulted in the death of one crew member of the two tankers and the injury of a number of others, in flagrant violation of international law and Security Council Resolution No. 2817. A direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation and global energy supplies.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the State of Kuwait’s full support for the United Arab Emirates. And its support for all measures it takes to protect its security and capabilities.
The Ministry stressed the need to immediately stop all escalatory actions and adhere to the provisions of international law. Which guarantees freedom of navigation and transit passage in straits used for international navigation, in a way that preserves the security and stability of the region.
