Liverpool FC secured a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in their Champions League match on Tuesday night.
Real Madrid visited Liverpool at Anfield Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Champions League.
Liverpool started the match well. Mac Allister fired a powerful shot that went just over the goal of Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Real Madrid responded with a powerful shot from Jude Bellingham, but it also went over the Liverpool goal.
Courtois then made a brilliant save to deny Szoboszlai after Florian Fritz delivered a cross from the left wing.
Courtois was called into action again in the final minutes of the first half. He made another excellent save from a powerful Szoboszlai shot.
In the second half, Van Dijk unleashed a powerful header that Courtois brilliantly saved. The Real Madrid goalkeeper then continued his stellar performance, denying a thunderous shot from Liverpool striker Hugo Ekieteke.
Mac Allister scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute. He received a cross from Szoboszlai and headed the ball into the net.
Mbappe missed a chance to score the equalizer after a powerful shot from inside the penalty area.
Liverpool players maintained their lead until the final whistle, securing three valuable points for coach Arne Slott’s team.
With that result, Liverpool raised its tally to 9 points in sixth place. Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s tally remained at 9 points in fifth place.
