Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Sunday that it had carried out an attack targeting US military sites in Oman. This move represents a new escalation in the ongoing confrontation between Tehran and Washington. It came hours after the United States announced the end of a new wave of military strikes against targets inside Iran.
In an official statement, the IRGC said the attack targeted military and logistical bases and facilities used by US forces. The statement confirmed that the attack also included facilities related to support and communications operations. It further asserted that the operation was in retaliation for recent US strikes against sites inside Iranian territory.
The statement added that the attack targeted what it described as “strategic” sites, including command centers and facilities supporting military operations. It indicated that Iranian forces used a variety of offensive methods to carry out the operation. This comes as part of what Tehran described as “response to American aggression.”
The Revolutionary Guard also announced targeting other American military sites in the region. The targets included facilities associated with radar and air defense systems. It affirmed that military operations would continue if the United States persisted in launching attacks against Iran.
