Tel Aviv, Israel – In a rapidly evolving situation, the Israeli military officially announced on Tuesday the conclusion of a wide-ranging wave of intense airstrikes targeting what it described as Hezbollah’s “centers of gravity” in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and its suburbs.

The military confirmed that it had struck high-value and sensitive targets.

Paralyzing intelligence and logistical capabilities

A statement issued by the Israeli military spokesperson explained that the air operation targeted a series of strategic targets that constitute the backbone of Hezbollah’s operations.

These targets included command and control centers, field operations management centers, weapons depots, and warehouses containing advanced weaponry.

The operation also targeted satellite systems and vital communications components belonging to Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters,

which the statement claimed were operating under a “civilian cover” to avoid being targeted. The statement added that the raids were not limited to purely military targets,

but also included “propaganda facilities” containing communications infrastructure. The Israeli military accused these facilities of being used to gather intelligence and promote Hezbollah’s war agenda.

“Precision munitions” and avoiding civilians

The Israeli military stressed in its statement that all the targeted sites were classified as “terrorist infrastructure” used to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli citizens and forces.

In an attempt to refute accusations of striking civilian targets, the statement emphasized that precautionary measures were taken prior to the operation.

These measures included issuing advance warnings to residents of nearby buildings, as well as using specific types of precision munitions to minimize collateral damage. Continuous aerial reconnaissance was also used to ensure that the sites were clear of non-targeted individuals.

A message to the “Tehran axis”

The Israeli army concluded its statement with a firm tone, indicating that it is working diligently

to respond to Hezbollah’s decision to engage in the confrontation under the auspices of the “Iranian regime.”

The statement affirmed that military operations will continue to protect the residents of the north and ensure the security of Israeli citizens.

The army also emphasized that its “target bank” continues to expand to include all those

who threaten its security. These airstrikes come amidst a climate of heightened regional tension.

This escalation is occurring while Hezbollah remains silent regarding the true extent of the damage inflicted

by this wave of concentrated bombing on its strongholds in Beirut.
