Paris, France – France strongly condemned the restrictions imposed by the United States on granting entry visas to a number of prominent European figures working in the technology sector,

Considering that these measures represent an obstacle to international cooperation

and directly harm innovation and transatlantic partnerships.

European experts in the fields of digital technology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity,

She stressed that Paris views this move as an unjustified action

that contradicts the nature of the strategic relationship between the two sides.

The French Foreign Ministry added that the free movement of talent

and experts is a key pillar for supporting global innovation.

She warned that politicizing visa procedures could undermine joint research

and investment projects between Europe and the United States.

In the same context, European sources reported that Paris intends

to raise the issue at the European Union level.

While exploring appropriate diplomatic options to ensure

such restrictions are not repeated in the future,

Maintaining an open collaborative environment in vital technology sectors.

Repercussions of the American decision

For their part, circles in the European technology sector expressed concern

about the repercussions of the American decision.

She noted that stricter visa requirements could negatively impact

the pace of innovation and weaken the competitiveness of startups.

This comes amid a fierce global race to develop artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

This crisis comes at a time when European-American relations are witnessing

increasing debates about the regulation of major technology companies.

Data protection and cybersecurity add further political

and economic dimensions to Washington’s recent decision.
