Beijing, China – The General Women’s Union, in cooperation with the Chinese NGO Network for International Exchanges, and with the support of the UAE Embassy in China, organized the UAE-China Women Entrepreneurs Forum under the slogan “Connecting Hearts Across the Silk Road”.
This comes as part of the official visit of the Union delegation to China, and within the framework of the activities of the UAE-China Women Entrepreneurs Council. With the participation of an elite group of women leaders, entrepreneurs, and representatives of economic institutions.
The forum was opened with a speech by Liu Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of the China NGO Network for International Exchanges. He stressed the importance of developing communication channels between institutions and enhancing the role of common platforms in supporting cooperation. Especially in the areas of women’s empowerment in the workplace, through developing training programs and consolidating institutional practices that support equality. In addition to expanding opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between companies.

He reviewed the role of the Chinese NGO Network for International Exchanges as one of the most prominent national economic organizations since its founding in 1979. Her membership in the Employers’ Council, which consists of 112 members, and her membership in the International Organization of Employers, which includes more than 150 organizations in more than 140 countries. The forum witnessed dialogue sessions with the participation of speakers from both sides, including representatives of Chinese companies investing in multiple sectors, with total investments exceeding 2.4 billion Chinese yuan. The sessions dealt with developing the business environment and reviewing experiences and initiatives that support project growth. In addition to exploring opportunities to expand cooperation between women entrepreneurs, in line with the objectives of the “Emirati Women Entrepreneurs Councils in Friendly Countries” initiative launched by the General Women’s Union under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” from which the UAE–China Women Entrepreneurs Council emerged.
The forum reflects the Women’s Union’s drive to expand its international work and enhance Emirati women’s participation in economic sectors. Which contributes to building sustainable partnerships with various international partners.
