The President of the UAE awards the Chinese Ambassador the Order of Zayed II, First Class

Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, awarded the Order of Zayed II, First Class, to His Excellency Zhang Yiming, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the UAE, in recognition of his distinguished efforts and effective contributions to strengthening the friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented the award to the Chinese Ambassador during a meeting in Abu Dhabi. This comes within the framework of the close relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China, which are witnessing continuous development at various political, economic, and cultural levels.

During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the depth of the strategic relations between the two friendly countries. He also praised the prominent role played by His Excellency Zhang Yiming during his tenure in the UAE. He highlighted his sincere contributions to supporting and developing bilateral cooperation and enhancing the prospects for a comprehensive partnership in a number of vital sectors of mutual interest.

His Highness noted that UAE-China relations represent a successful model of international cooperation based on mutual respect and shared interests. He highlighted the shared commitment to further developing these relations in a way that serves the aspirations of the leadership and people of both countries.

For his part, His Excellency Zhang Yiming expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, for this prestigious honor. He considered the medal a badge of honor reflecting the strength of the relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.
