Conakry, Guinea – Guinea’s Supreme Court announced in a formal session the final results of the constitutional referendum held last Sunday, confirming the approval of the new draft constitution by 89.38%.
The court explained that the announced figures were completely consistent with the results previously published by the Ministry of Regional Administration on September 23, without any modifications.

The results announcement ceremony was attended by several government members, heads of republican institutions, and members of the independent National Observatory for Referendum Supervision.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Foday Bangura read the ruling to the assembly, formally ending the controversy surrounding the electoral process.
Official figures:
- Number of registered voters: 6,768,458 voters.
- Number of voters: 5,951,807.
- Participation rate: 86.42%.
- Number of votes in favor: 5,135,951 (89.38%).
- Number of negative votes: 610,376 (10.62%).
