Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on Tuesday, upon his arrival in Cairo for a working visit, according to the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic.
A bilateral meeting between Sisi and Mohammed bin Salman
President Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting to discuss a number of files and issues of common interest, within the framework of the strategic relations that unite Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Extensive talks between the delegations of the two countries
The visit program includes holding an expanded session of talks with the participation of the two countries’ delegations, to discuss ways to enhance aspects of Egyptian-Saudi cooperation in various fields, in order to support bilateral relations and open new horizons for partnership between Cairo and Riyadh.
The two sides also exchange views on regional and international developments, in light of the rapidly changing situation in the region and a number of political and security issues of common interest.
A luncheon was held at the conclusion of the meetings.
The Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to Cairo will conclude with a luncheon, following the bilateral meeting and extensive talks between the two sides.
The visit comes within the framework of continued coordination and consultation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and strengthening cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and regional issues, reflecting the importance of Egyptian-Saudi relations in supporting stability in the region.
