Beirut, Lebanon – Lebanese media reported that the Wadi Saluki area in southern Lebanon was subjected to Israeli artillery shelling. This event is the latest development on the ground in the region, amid the continuing state of tension on the Lebanese-Israeli border. Reports indicated that the bombing targeted the vicinity of Wadi Saluki. So far, there has been no immediate information about the extent of human or material losses resulting from the targeting.
The shelling comes amidst escalating tension in southern Lebanon, with ongoing Israeli strikes and aerial surveillance flights over various border areas. The renewed bombardment has sparked fears among residents regarding a widening of the conflict, particularly given the repeated targeting of different towns and areas in the south. Lebanese authorities continue to monitor developments on the ground. Meanwhile, calls have been made to curb the escalation and maintain calm, aiming to prevent the region from sliding into a broader confrontation that could further increase civilian suffering and exacerbate the humanitarian and security situation.
