Cairo, Egypt – Well-informed Egyptian sources revealed that Hamas and the Palestinian factions have informed the mediators of their approval of the roadmap
for implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, in a move that enhances the chances of moving to a new phase of calm and completing the terms of the agreement.
Field and humanitarian arrangements
The sources explained that the mediators are continuing their contacts with all parties to finalize the implementation mechanisms, in preparation for starting the practical procedures for the second phase,
which includes field, humanitarian and administrative arrangements aimed at consolidating the ceasefire and improving conditions within the sector.
Coordination with regional mediators
She added that the next phase includes activating the National Committee for Managing Civil Affairs, along with launching early recovery and reconstruction programs for Gaza,
in coordination with regional and international mediators, while continuing efforts to ensure all parties adhere to the agreement.
These developments come as Egypt, in cooperation with Qatar, the United States, and several international partners,
intensifies its efforts to advance the agreement, thereby contributing to consolidating the ceasefire,
creating conditions for resuming the peace process, and containing tensions in the Gaza Strip.
