Cairo, Egypt – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt have ratified an agreement for the mutual exemption from short-stay visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports. This step reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, supports joint cooperation, and facilitates the movement of officials and official delegations.

The agreement, approved by the Saudi Council of Ministers, allows holders of diplomatic and special passports from both countries to enter and stay in the other country for short periods without needing a prior visa, based on the principle of reciprocity.

This step comes within the framework of strengthening the strategic partnership between Cairo and Riyadh and developing cooperation in the political and diplomatic fields. It contributes to facilitating communication between officials and official delegations and supports ongoing coordination on issues of common interest.

This measure underscores the commitment of both Egypt and Saudi Arabia to consolidating fraternal relations and streamlining procedures for holders of official passports, keeping pace with the growing level of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
