Amman, Jordan – The Southern Military Region of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, early Sunday morning, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of narcotics loaded by balloons through one of its fronts and within its area of responsibility.
Detecting and intercepting drug-laden balloons
In detail, the balloons were carefully monitored by Border Guard units stationed on the border, which immediately dealt with them and dropped them with their entire payload inside Jordanian territory, in full and joint coordination with the security and military services and the Narcotics Control Administration. The seized materials were seized and urgently transferred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
