Highlights
  • US Embassy warnings
  • Drone attacks and regional tensions

Manama, Bahrain – The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the sounding of sirens across the country for the third time, as part of the ongoing security alert in the Kingdom. In an urgent statement posted on the “X” platform, the Ministry called on all citizens and residents to remain calm and to immediately proceed to the nearest safe location. It emphasized the importance of following news and instructions issued exclusively through official state channels.

US Embassy warnings

These developments come at a sensitive time, as the US Embassy in Bahrain issued a security alert earlier today. The embassy reported having intelligence indicating the possibility of Iran targeting unspecified locations in the heart of the capital, Manama. Furthermore, the US warning comes amidst an atmosphere of heightened anticipation and caution. This situation persists as the tit-for-tat military operations between Washington and Tehran continue for the ninth consecutive day.

Drone attacks and regional tensions

These Bahraini moves coincided with announcements from both Kuwait and Bahrain early this morning that they had been attacked by Iranian drones. The region is witnessing a large-scale military escalation, with the US military continuing its ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against targets inside Iran. Meanwhile, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed in a statement that it had conducted a new wave of airstrikes. These strikes began at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, as part of ongoing operations to degrade Iranian military capabilities.
