Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that its forces successfully intercepted and downed eight Iranian missiles that entered the Kingdom’s airspace. The Army confirmed that its air defense systems effectively engaged the targets to maintain the country’s security and the safety of its citizens.
The Army explained that the interceptions were part of its efforts to counter any objects or projectiles that pose a threat to Jordanian territory. It also noted that the Armed Forces continue to monitor the airspace around the clock and maintain a high level of readiness to respond to any potential developments.
The military leadership affirmed that protecting the Kingdom’s sovereignty and security is a top priority. It stated that the armed forces possess the necessary capabilities to address various threats. It also urged citizens to obtain information from official sources and not to be swayed by rumors.
