Atlanta, USA – The two finalists for the 2026 World Cup are now confirmed, with Argentina and Spain securing their places in the final match. The two teams will face off in a highly anticipated clash for the world title.
Argentina secured their place in the final after a thrilling 2-1 victory over England in their semi-final match on Wednesday evening.
England opened the scoring through Anthony Gordon in the 55th minute. Enzo Fernandez then brought Argentina back into the game with an equalizer in the 85th minute.
Meanwhile, substitute Lautaro Martinez snatched the winning goal in the dying moments, specifically at the 90+2 minute, to lead “Tango” to the final.
Spain had already secured their place in the final the day before, after defeating France 2-0 in the semi-final. This marked their return to the World Cup final for the first time since winning the title in 2010.
All eyes are on the highly anticipated clash between Lionel Messi, captain of the Argentinian national team, and the talented Spanish player Lamine Yamal. This will be another battle for the World Cup title.
