Amman, Jordan – The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Jordan, during his meeting with a high-level US military official, discussed ways to enhance defense and military cooperation between the two countries. The meeting addressed the rapid security and regional developments. Moreover, they exchanged views on issues of mutual interest that concern both sides in light of the current challenges.
Enhancing Coordination and Joint Cooperation
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing military coordination and developing joint cooperation programs that contribute to raising the efficiency of the armed forces. Furthermore, the two parties stressed the necessity of strengthening the exchange of expertise in the fields of military training and qualification. In addition, they support all efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability in the face of various risks.
Prospects for Defense and Security Partnership
The meeting addressed prospects for expanding the defense partnership between Jordan and the United States. There was an emphasis on continuing close cooperation in the fields of security and counter-terrorism. Coordination took place regarding the security challenges witnessed in the region, in light of the rapid developments.
