Doha, Qatar – The State of Qatar has categorically denied Israeli media reports claiming it had agreed to participate in or support any potential military action against Iran. It affirmed that these claims are baseless and do not reflect Doha’s official position.
An official source at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that what has been circulated by some Israeli media outlets lacks accuracy and credibility. The source emphasized that Qatari foreign policy is based on supporting dialogue and diplomatic solutions and rejecting military escalation in the region.
The source explained that Qatar continues to work with its regional and international partners to de-escalate tensions and promote security and stability. It also noted that Doha believes regional crises must be addressed through political and peaceful means.
The source added that disseminating such allegations aims to sow confusion and distort the positions of countries. It called on media outlets to exercise accuracy and rely on official sources when addressing sensitive issues.
The Qatari denial comes at a time of escalating tensions in the region, amid international warnings of a widening conflict. Doha affirms its continued commitment to its diplomatic role in supporting de-escalation efforts and maintaining regional stability.
