Beirut, Lebanon – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that Israel and Lebanon are sovereign states that desire to live in peace.
At the same time, he emphasized that Israeli forces will maintain
their presence in southern Lebanon as long as Hezbollah, as he described it, poses a threat to Israel.

During a visit to southern Lebanon, Netanyahu stated that Israel and Lebanon are sovereign states that want to live in peace.
