Tehran, Iran – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister confirmed that his country has blocked ships attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz via routes other than those designated by Iranian authorities.
He also stressed that Tehran will continue to take the same measures against any vessel that does not adhere to the approved routes.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Iranian authorities intervened to prevent several ships
from using unauthorized routes within the Strait of Hormuz.
He also confirmed that these measures will continue in the coming period.
He explained that Iran considers adherence to designated routes
a fundamental condition for regulating maritime traffic in the strait.
Therefore, any violation will be met with immediate action by the relevant authorities.
