Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced on Sunday a tragic accident involving a helicopter belonging to Saudi Aramco in the Ras Tanura area. All those on board were killed.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), quoting an official source at the Ministry, the helicopter crashed at 6:00 AM local time on Sunday.
The source confirmed that the crash resulted in the deaths of 14 people. He also indicated that all the victims were Saudi citizens who were aboard the helicopter at the time of the accident.
Upon receiving the report, emergency teams and relevant authorities were dispatched to the crash site to assess the situation and manage the aftermath.
The same source indicated that the concerned authorities immediately launched a comprehensive investigation, in cooperation with relevant agencies, to determine the technical and operational causes that led to the helicopter crash in this area.
