Targeting a satellite communications facility
The Ukrainian General Staff stated that its forces carried out an attack targeting the Dubna satellite communications center in the Moscow region,
without disclosing further details regarding the extent of the damage or the means used in the operation.
This attack comes amidst the ongoing exchange of fire in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
These attacks have targeted a number of military installations and vital infrastructure on both sides in recent months.
For its part, the Russian news agency TASS reported that the center was subjected to a heavy attack by Ukrainian drones.
However, television broadcasts and communications services were not affected by the attack.
Worker safety and damage assessment
The agency added that the relevant authorities have begun addressing the aftermath of the attack

TASS news agency quoted the Russian satellite communications company, which operates the center,
as saying that the attack did not result in any injuries among its employees.
The company confirmed that its technical teams are continuing to assess the situation and address the effects of the attack.
The company is the largest Russian state-owned operator of satellite communications services.
