Tehran, Iran – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani received Pakistani Interior Minister Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. The two sides discussed a range of bilateral and regional issues

aimed at strengthening relations between their countries and expanding areas of cooperation.

including strengthening political and economic coordination.

It also focused on supporting official communication channels

The two sides discussed border security issues along their shared border,

emphasizing the importance of enhancing joint efforts to combat smuggling and organized crime.

They also discussed developing coordination mechanisms between their security agencies.

The meeting also addressed current regional developments and ways to support stability in the region.

Furthermore, the continuation of consultations between Tehran and Islamabad on issues of mutual interest was emphasized.

This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing communication between the two countries.

This communication aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation

and expand partnerships across various political, security, and economic sectors.

Following up on diplomatic files

Iranian state television explained that the visit is part of ongoing political

and diplomatic discussions related to the issues on the negotiating table.

This includes monitoring the mutual commitments of the parties involved

and exploring implementation mechanisms for the next phase.

Meanwhile, technical and political consultations are continuing.

High-level delegation

The delegation includes prominent figures from Iranian state institutions,

reflecting the importance of this round of negotiations.
