Ankara – Turkey: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan conducted a phone call with President Donald Trump, during which both sides addressed the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, alongside rapid developments in several regional and international files, amid escalating tensions in multiple geopolitical arenas.
According to informed sources, both parties discussed ways to enhance political and economic cooperation between Ankara and Washington, in addition to regional security files, counter-terrorism, energy crises, and coordinating stances toward a number of sensitive issues in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Resetting Dialogue Channels and Confronting Rapid Changes in the International System
The call also touched upon the importance of resetting communication channels between the two countries to ensure the mitigation of existing tensions and the expansion of areas of cooperation, especially in light of rapid changes in the international system and regional alliances.
