Tel Aviv – The Israeli military announced in an official statement that it conducted extensive attacks targeting approximately 65 Hezbollah infrastructures in Southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours. Tel Aviv confirmed that these recent military operations resulted in the deaths of more than 20 Hezbollah members, marking a new field escalation on the northern border.
The IDF explained that the airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted vital centers used by the group, noting that these moves are part of an ongoing strategy to weaken Hezbollah’s military capabilities and undermine its infrastructure near the border.
Targeting Logistics and Surveillance Sites
According to the military statement, the targets bombed based on precise intelligence included:
- Surveillance posts and logistics facilities.
- Weapon warehouses and rocket launch zones.
- Activity centers and field movements of the group’s members.
The military indicated that operations focused on areas considered “launch points” for attacks, without disclosing specific details regarding the identities of those killed or the exact geographical locations of the raids.
Warnings Against Sliding into All-Out Confrontation
This escalation occurs at a time when the Lebanese-Israeli front is witnessing unprecedented security tension and daily exchanges of fire. These developments coincide with increasing international warnings against the situation sliding into a “comprehensive confrontation” that could threaten Middle East stability and lead to grave humanitarian and security consequences in the border regions.
