Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The General Directorate of Passports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the arrival of the first flights of pilgrims from Turkey for Hajj. This marked the start of the Hajj season amidst extensive organizational and security preparations.
The Passports Directorate confirmed that entry procedures proceeded smoothly through international ports of entry, utilizing the latest technologies to expedite processing. This ensures the comfort of pilgrims from the moment they arrive in the Holy Land.
The Directorate explained that relevant authorities have mobilized all available human and technological resources to welcome the pilgrims. This includes reinforcing staff at ports of entry and activating digital systems that contribute to accelerating verification and auditing processes.
This comes within the framework of a comprehensive plan developed by the Kingdom to facilitate the performance of the Hajj rituals. Various sectors are working to provide integrated services encompassing transportation, accommodation, and healthcare, in addition to organizational procedures that ensure the smooth flow of movement.
Officials indicated that the arrival of the first flights marks the beginning of a precise operational phase. During this phase, performance will be evaluated on the ground to ensure that any issues are addressed immediately before the arrival of larger numbers of pilgrims in the coming days.
