Manama, Bahrain – The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that its air defense systems have intercepted and destroyed 153 missiles and 331 drones targeting the Kingdom’s territory since the start of the attacks.

Growing toll of airstrikes

The command confirmed in an official statement that these figures reflect the scale of the attacks Bahrain has faced recently,

noting that air defenses have continued to effectively counter the repeated aerial threats.

It explained that these defensive operations have contributed to minimizing damage and protecting vital infrastructure and civilian sites.

Condemnation of the use of missiles and drones

She emphasized that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian areas

and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter.

She also deemed these attacks indiscriminate acts that pose a direct threat to the safety and security of civilians.

A threat to regional security

The General Command affirmed that the continuation of these attacks threatens regional peace and security,

given the escalating military tensions in the region.

It called for an immediate halt to these attacks, which will only exacerbate the escalation

and further complicate the security situation in the Gulf.
