Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting GCC member states,

during a telephone call with the European Commission.

Gulf condemnation of the escalation

The Secretary-General of the Council, Jassem Mohammed Al-Badawi, stressed the need for an immediate cessation of all hostilities,

emphasizing that continued escalation would deepen tensions and threaten regional security.

He also called for concerted international efforts to contain the crisis,

ensuring the preservation of regional stability, maritime navigation safety, and global energy supplies.

For her part, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean Dubravka Šujka expressed

the European Union’s rejection of all Iranian hostile acts towards the Gulf Cooperation Council countries,
