Kuwait – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems detected four hostile ballistic missiles and 23 drones that violated Kuwaiti airspace in the past 24 hours. The ministry confirmed that they were successfully engaged and destroyed without any damage reported within the country.

Details of the interception operations

The ministry explained that air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed all missiles and drones that entered the threat range. Meanwhile, three drones crashed outside the danger zone, causing no damage or injuries.

Official briefing on developments

The Kuwait News Agency quoted Colonel Saud Al-Atwan as saying that these developments come as part of ongoing monitoring of current events. This came during a media briefing that reviewed the latest field developments.

Countering regional threats

The spokesperson confirmed that these attacks come amid regional escalation linked to Iranian aggression. He also emphasized the armed forces’ readiness to deal with any potential threats and to take the necessary measures to protect airspace and national sovereignty.
