Muscat, Oman – The US State Department has issued an urgent directive for non-essential personnel to depart Oman immediately. This comes as a safety precaution following escalating regional tensions and heightened potential security risks.

The US Embassy in Muscat said the decision was aimed at protecting American personnel. It also urged all citizens to avoid non-essential travel within Oman and to follow official channels for updates.

The Omani authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of residents and visitors, amid expectations of increased security precautions in the coming days.
