Amman, Jordan – Jordanian authorities announced that missile fragments fell in the Irbid Governorate in the north of the Kingdom, an incident that caused concern among residents. Security forces and civil defense teams rushed to the scene to manage the situation and investigate the circumstances.

Official sources reported that the fragments landed in an open area, with no casualties. Authorities have begun searching the area and collecting the projectile remnants to determine its origin and type.

Authorities confirmed that military engineering teams are examining the impact site to ensure the area is clear of any hazardous remnants. Furthermore, precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of citizens in nearby areas.

The incident comes at a time of escalating military tensions in the region. In this context, the US military command announced the continuation of its military operations against targets linked to Iran.

The US command stated that the ongoing strikes aim to reduce Iranian military capabilities and prevent threats to US interests and those of its allies in the region. It emphasized that the operations are being conducted according to precise plans targeting specific military sites.

Observers believe that the impact of missile fragments falling within Jordanian territory reflects the widening scope of the military escalation in the Middle East. This incident also raises concerns about the repercussions of the ongoing confrontation spreading to neighboring countries, given the continued exchange of strikes and the increasing regional tensions.
