Tehran, Iran – Iranian authorities confirmed today that all domestic and international flights are operating according to schedule, amid international concerns over escalating regional tensions. Iranian media quoted a spokesperson for the national airline as saying, “All domestic flights are continuing without any delays, and international flights are still operating according to their usual schedules, with the highest safety and security measures in place.”
These statements come after an exchange of warnings between Tehran and Washington, amid concerns about a potential escalation that could affect civil aviation in the region. Iranian authorities emphasized that “the safety and security of passengers is our top priority, and we will not tolerate any potential threats,” adding that the country’s airports are prepared to handle any emergency.
Analysts suggest that this move is intended to reassure passengers and foreign airlines that the situation is under control, amid ongoing international pressure on Iran, particularly regarding the nuclear issue and the US military presence in the region.
