Islamabad, Pakistan – The Pakistani military announced today that 41 militants were killed during two large-scale security operations in the southwestern province of Balochistan. These operations were part of an intensified campaign aimed at dismantling militant networks and preventing an escalation of attacks against security forces and vital installations.
An official military statement explained that the operations were based on precise intelligence. Militant hideouts and gatherings in rugged terrain were targeted. Heavy gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the elimination of a large number of militants classified as “highly dangerous.”
The statement indicated that Pakistani forces seized quantities of weapons and ammunition. Furthermore, combing operations are ongoing to ensure the targeted areas are cleared and to prevent any attempts to regroup or escape.
These operations come as Islamabad intensifies its efforts to confront militant groups in Balochistan. The province is experiencing intermittent security tensions, and officials have affirmed that the military will continue its operations “until the complete eradication of terrorist strongholds” and the consolidation of stability in the region.
