Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the talks held in the United Arab Emirates focused primarily on establishing clear parameters for ending the war. He confirmed that the participating parties discussed the general framework for any potential settlement in a serious and direct manner.

Zelenskyy explained that the discussions addressed a number of key issues, foremost among them security guarantees and respect for Ukraine’s sovereignty. They also discussed mechanisms for implementing any future agreement, ensuring the sustainability of peace and preventing a return to escalation.

The Ukrainian president noted that these meetings reflect the growing role of regional diplomacy in bridging differences. He emphasized that his country is open to any genuine political process that leads to a just peace and preserves Ukrainian rights in accordance with international law.

These statements come amidst accelerated international efforts aimed at breaking the political deadlock and creating the conditions for a new phase that could bring an end to the ongoing conflict.
