Damascus, Syria – The official Syrian news agency (SANA) reported hearing an explosion in the Mezzeh area of the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Two senior Syrian officials had confirmed earlier this month

that two separate attempts by the organization had been thwarted.

This was to target Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

between the two sides to reduce military escalation.

regarding the nature of the explosion and its impact.

At a time when the international community is closely

monitoring the security situation in Damascus,

Amid reports of potential attacks by terrorist organizations
