Pakistan – Pakistani authorities have reported that at least four people were injured in an explosion inside the Supreme Court building in the capital, Islamabad. The blast caused panic and chaos in the surrounding sensitive judicial area.

According to initial security reports, the explosion occurred in a side corridor of the building during working hours. It shattered windows and damaged several offices. Security forces and bomb disposal experts quickly cordoned off the area and began a search operation. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident. The government confirmed it has launched an urgent investigation into the circumstances of the explosion. It also indicated that security will be reinforced at judicial facilities in the capital in anticipation of any similar attacks.

This incident comes amid heightened security tensions in Pakistan in recent times, coinciding with an increase in attacks targeting state institutions and vital infrastructure.
