London, Britain – British police announced on Sunday the arrest of two people suspected of involvement in a mass stabbing incident that occurred on Saturday evening on a train bound for London.

She noted that “ten people were taken to the hospital following multiple stabbings,

Two of them are in critical condition. Authorities confirmed there are no indications that the attack was terrorist.

Counter-terrorism units

British Transport Police Commander John Lovells explained at a press conference that four of the injured had left the hospital on Sunday morning after receiving treatment.

While two remain in critical condition, he added that investigation teams are continuing to gather information with the support of counter-terrorism units.

Lafles confirmed that armed police officers were able to subdue the two attackers within just eight minutes of receiving the emergency call.

He noted that one of those arrested was a 32-year-old black British man,

The other is of Caribbean origin and is 35 years old. Both are currently being questioned.

Shock and disgust

In his first official comment, King Charles III issued a statement saying:

“My wife and I were deeply shocked and disgusted upon hearing the news of the horrific attack,

Which happened on board the train last night in Cambridgeshire.”

This incident comes at a time when Britain is on heightened security alert.

Police confirmed that the investigation is still in its early stages.

He called on witnesses to come forward with any information that might help uncover the attackers’ motives.
