Yogota, Colombia – Colombian President Gustavo Petro strongly criticized some local media outlets,

After local media published reports indicating difficulty in refueling the presidential plane during an official flight,

He stressed that the news was completely false.

Gustavo Petro said that what was being circulated reflects “a disregard for standards of credibility and professionalism”.

He noted that the plane did not encounter any logistical or technical problems, and that the flight proceeded according to normal procedures.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro added that spreading rumors without verification harms the country’s image and undermines citizens’ trust in the media.

He called on media organizations to be accurate and responsible in reporting official news.
