Moscow, Russia – Russia’s economic envoy confirmed today that preparations are underway for an upcoming summit between Russia and the United States, noting that preparatory discussions are ongoing between the two sides to determine the agenda and priority topics.
The envoy explained that the upcoming summit aims to discuss joint economic and trade issues, in addition to addressing hot political issues on the international scene. He emphasized that Moscow views this meeting as an opportunity to rebuild bridges of cooperation and enhance direct dialogue between the two major powers.
He added that both sides are taking into account current geopolitical developments, energy issues, and global food security, stressing that Russia is ready for dialogue “on the basis of equality and mutual respect.”
These moves come at a time of growing international calls to de-escalate tensions between Moscow and Washington, as well as to open new diplomatic channels that would calm the situation and enhance global stability.
