Beijing, China – China on Wednesday showcased new-generation weapons, including fourth-generation aircraft and fighters carried on aircraft carriers. In addition to anti-drone vehicles and advanced missiles, including hypersonic missiles.
This was in a huge event held to mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat at the end of World War II.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, accompanied by 26 world leaders, inspected troops and military equipment.
Among the leaders were North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin. More than 10,000 soldiers and hundreds of military aircraft and vehicles participated in the event. It displays 45 military formations representing branches of traditional and new forces. Including Chinese peacekeeping forces operating within United Nations missions.
All types of weapons and military equipment on display were manufactured in China. They are already in service with the country’s armed forces.







nuclear triad
The Chinese news agency “Xinhua” confirmed that “China presented for the first time its strategic land, sea and air forces in the form of a nuclear triad. This was showcased during the military parade on the occasion of Victory Day on Wednesday”.
Helicopters carrying large flags and fighter jets flew in formations during the 70-minute parade. It was filled with symbolism and propaganda. The event culminated in the launch of 80,000 peace doves and colorful balloons.
This is the second show of its kind organized by China to commemorate the victory over Japan. This came after the premiere held on the 70th anniversary in 2015.
The last major military parade in Beijing was in 2019. It marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
Among the weapons on display is the 99A tank, which is the newest main tank in China. It is characterized by high capabilities in protection, firepower and maneuverability.
It also displayed the latest types of air defense systems. This included newly developed long-range surface-to-air missile systems to intercept aircraft and ballistic missiles. In addition, there were medium-range multi-mission systems to deal with drones and cruise missiles.
It also demonstrated short-range vehicle-mounted systems designed to protect ground formations from nearby air threats.

For the first time, Jingli-1 air missiles and Golang-3 intercontinental ballistic missiles launched from submarines are on display.
In addition to the Dongfeng-61 intercontinental land missiles and the Dongfeng-31 intercontinental land missiles, all in one display.
