Beirut, Lebanon – “Sultan of Tarab” George Wassouf is preparing to reunite with his Lebanese audience at a highly anticipated concert as part of the Qartaba Festivals in Lebanon. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, amidst great anticipation from his fans and lovers of authentic Tarab music.

Promoting the concert

George Wassouf promoted the concert via his official Facebook account, expressing his excitement about reuniting with his fans at the Qartaba Festivals; he posted the concert poster with the caption: “We meet again this year at the Qartaba Festivals 2026… on Saturday, August 22.”

A diverse range

During the concert, George Wassouf is expected to perform a selection of his most famous songs—those that have resonated with audiences throughout his long career—alongside a number of his recent tracks, in a night of authentic musical artistry that brings him together with his Lebanese fans.

George Wassouf’s latest songs

The concert is part of a packed artistic schedule through which George Wassouf continues his musical activities—particularly following the release of his latest song, “Tammenni ‘Al-Habayeb.” Sung in the Egyptian dialect, the track is romantic in nature and evokes the atmosphere that characterized many of his earlier hits.

The song marked a renewed collaboration between George Wassouf and composer Salah El-Sharnoubi—a new artistic venture bringing them together following a series of past successes. The track features lyrics by Ahmed Sheta and arrangement by Rami El-Sharnoubi.

Through his concerts and new releases, George Wassouf continues to maintain a strong presence on the music scene, backed by a vast fan base that has established him as one of the Arab world’s most prominent stars of *tarab* for decades.
