Jakarta, Indonesia – A passenger caused chaos on an Indonesian airline flight after impersonating a flight attendant, delaying the flight by about two hours.
The incident occurred amid heightened security measures to ensure passenger safety.
Worn a flight attendant uniform and carries a fake ID
According to local media reports, the flight was bound for the tourist island of Bali.
Prior to departure, the crew discovered that a 23-year-old passenger was wearing
a uniform similar to that of a flight attendant.
She was also carrying a fake ID and attempting to blend in with the cabin crew.
The crew intervened immediately upon noticing her unusual behavior. She was then questioned on board,
which delayed takeoff while her identity was confirmed.
This was especially true after she tried to give the impression to other passenger that she was a member of the crew.
The passenger was disembarked from the plane and it was handed over
Initial investigations revealed that the woman acted in this manner to convince her family that she had secured a job as a flight attendant.
This occurred after her previous application for such a position had been rejected.
Following the incident, the passenger was removed from the aircraft and handed over to security personnel.
The flight then resumed its journey, with the airline reaffirming its commitment to full safety procedures
and emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that threatens aviation security.
