Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Following a statement by the former lawyer of the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab, which addressed her return to her ex-husband Hossam Habib for the third time, demanding her protection… Cairo 24 published some of what Yasser Qantoush, Sherine’s lawyer, said. He demanded: (official protection), explaining that Sherine is exposed to harsh conditions because of a person who has turned her life into hell. He demanded the Minister of Culture intervene urgently and communicate with the Ministry of Health. The aim is to delegate a medical committee to examine her condition and keep her away from people who seek to destroy her psychologically, health-wise, and artistically. This is in his capacity as the Minister of Culture, the first person responsible for art in Egypt.
In turn, Hossam Habib commented on Qantosh’s statement, saying: “I am with Sherine at her home, and she is fine. There is nothing wrong with her or any problems. I don’t know why Mr. Yasser Qantosh is saying this.”
Lawyer Qantoush officially announced his withdrawal from representing Sherine legally. He confirmed that he received a distress call from her while she was in a state of collapse.
ET Bil Arabi also circulated two audio recordings. One of them was of the artist Sherine, in which she disavowed Qantoush’s words and threatened to hold him accountable for any words he said. The other was of Hossam Habib, in which he denied his return to Sherine.
