Hatta, United Arab Emirates – Al Dhafra came from behind to defeat their hosts, Hatta, 2–1 in a match held today at Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium. The game was part of Matchweek 5 of the ADNOC Pro League. With this result, Al Dhafra secured their first victory of the season.
Hatta took the lead in the 24th minute via an own goal. Rostand Djouh equalized for Al Dhafra in the 57th minute, before Karim El Berkaoui snatched the winning goal for the visitors in the 85th minute.
Al Dhafra raised their tally to 3 points, moving up to eleventh place in the standings. Meanwhile, Hatta remained on 3 points in twelfth place.
Al Dhafra began the match by applying attacking pressure. The team was awarded a penalty in the 20th minute, but the referee reversed the decision after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology; consequently, the match remained deadlocked at 0-0.

Despite being a man down, Hatta posed a threat through counter-attacks. They nearly regained the lead in the 75th minute when Firas Ben Larbi unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that struck the post. He followed up with a second attempt, but Amjad Al-Sayed produced a brilliant save to deny him.
Al Dhafra persisted in their efforts until they succeeded in scoring the go-ahead goal in the 85th minute. Karim El Berkaoui found the back of the net, securing his team’s first victory of the season in the ADNOC Pro League.
