Ajman, United Arab Emirates – Kalba secured their first victory of the season in the ADNOC Pro League by defeating hosts Ajman 3–2. The match took place this Friday evening at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium as part of the fifth round of fixtures.
Kalba asserted their dominance for most of the match, with goals from Benjamin Tetteh, Carlos Filho, and Antonio Neto in the 25th, 42nd, and 67th minutes, while Ajman narrowed the deficit through Walid Azaro and Liziero Silva in the 45+3rd and 81st minutes.
With this victory, Kalba raised their tally to 4 points, sitting in tenth place in the ADNOC Pro League standings, while Ajman remained at 9 points in seventh place.
Kalba began the match on the attack and succeeded in turning their dominance into an opening goal in the 25th minute, when Benjamin Tetteh rose to meet a cross inside the penalty area and headed it into the Ajman net.
The visitors kept up the pressure, and Carlos Filho managed to double the lead in the 42nd minute; he received the ball inside the box and fired a powerful header that the Ajman goalkeeper was unable to save.
Just before the end of the first half, Walid Azaro brought the hosts back into the match by scoring Ajman’s opening goal in the third minute of stoppage time; he capitalized on a ball inside the penalty area and headed it into the net, leaving Kalba leading 2–1 at the break.
Kalba returned in the second half looking to seal the victory, and Antonio Neto managed to score the third goal in the 67th minute, unleashing a powerful shot that restored his team’s two-goal cushion.
Ajman did not give up, and Leziere Silva managed to narrow the gap again in the 81st minute by unleashing a powerful shot that found the back of the Kalba net, making the score 3–2.
