Dubai, UAE – Al Jazira secured a victory in the fourth round of the ADNOC Pro League, overturning a one-goal deficit against Shabab Al Ahli to win 3-1. The match was played at Rashid Stadium.
With this result, Al Jazira continued their strong start to the competition, raising their points tally to 12 and securing sole possession of the top spot in the standings. Meanwhile, Shabab Al Ahli’s points total remained at 9, placing them fourth.
Al Ahli needed just two minutes to open the scoring. Guilherme da Silva found the net with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, following a brilliant individual effort. The ball nestled into the bottom left corner of Al Jazira goalkeeper Ersen Distanu’s net.
Al Jazira tried to quickly get back into the game, amidst a flurry of attacks from both sides. Shabab Al Ahli goalkeeper Hamad Abdullah Al Muqbali was injured after saving a one-on-one chance from Felicio Mendes.
Al Jazira almost capitalized on a mistake by goalkeeper Al Muqbali in the 39th minute. He came out of his goal poorly, but Shabab Al Ahli’s defense intervened just in time and cleared the danger.

As the match entered its final minutes, Al Jazira delivered the knockout blow. Christian Asllani scored the third goal in the 91st minute with a precise shot from outside the penalty area. This sealed his team’s victory and secured the top spot for “The Pride of Abu Dhabi”.
